Magnolia-licious - Summer Buggy Fun

Happy Tuesday, Friends. I’m here today to share a new card for our challenge at Magnolia-licious. This time our theme is…

Summer Buggy Fun!

My card for the challenge features “Tiptoe Tilda” from the Animals of the Year collection. My designer papers are from Maja Design’s new “Coffee in the Arbour” collection. I love the vintage shabby prints on these and I was happy to find that one of the papers had cute butterflies on them, perfect for our theme. I cut some of the butterflies from the paper and attached them to Tilda’s hands. She was colored with Copics and I cut her frame with my Spellbinders Floral Oval die. She is so cute.

I distressed my paper panels and die cuts, added a flower arrangement, a double bow and scattered butterflies throughout my card.

Here’s a close up of Tilda.

Summer Fun at Magnolia-licious

Hello, Friends. I’m a bit late with my post but finally here with my DT inspiration for the new challenge at Magnolia-licious. This time our theme is…

Summer Fun!

We have had a lot a spring storms with lots of rain and hail so I am looking forward to the summer heat and sun. Our grass hay pasture is up to my thighs; almost 3 feet. We don’t cut and bail our pasture for hay storage but I would love to now that it has grown so well this spring. We have 30 acres that belong to a neighboring farm and they bail our hay for our horses.

Anywho, getting back to why I’m here…My card for the challenge features “Playing on the Beach Tilda and Vintage Swedish Coast Cottage” from the Sea Breeze collection. I colored my images with Copics and added summer festive papers from Maja Designs and Bazzill cardstock.

I kept my card simple with a few flowers, seaside charms and a hemp chord tied in knots around the card for a border.

Here’s a close up of Tilda.

Summer Blog Hop at Magnolia-licious

Happy Monday, Friends. Today Magnolia-licious is celebrating Summer with a Blog Hop. So if you arrived here from Karen’s blog then you are on the right track. If you need to start at the beginning all you need to do is go back to the beginning at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog.

When we have a HOP at Magnolia-licious we share projects rather than cards with a little creative inspiration from the Design Team. I must confess though that I cheated a little this time as I decided to make a box card. I have seen so many adorable box cards in blog land and they are more of a project then just a card.

My project features Bikini Tilda which is perfect for this box. She sits with her flip flops and beach ball under the sun and ocean waves. The box creation is a Silhouette cutting file from Lori Whitlock. I love Lori’s artwork, she is so talented and creative.

I kept my box simple adding a pink satin ribbon bow with a pearl so that it would fold down flat.

Tilda was colored with Copics and has Liquid Pearls on her feet and on the flowers in her hair.

Your next stop on the hop is the lovely and talented Katie Tate.

Thanks for following along on our Summer Hop. Have a great week.
