Magnolia-licious Anything Goes

Hello, Magnolia Friends. Today we have a new challenge for you at Magnolia-licious. Our theme this time is…

*****Anything Goes*****

This will be the last challenge of the year so that the DT can spend some quality time with family and friends during the upcoming Holiday season. Our challenge will run until January 12! That gives you 6 weeks to create some fabulous cards/projects for a chance to win a prize from Magnolia-licious.

For this challenge I've chosen “Christmas Candle Tilda” from the NEW “Waiting for Christmas” collection.

I colored Tilda with Copics and used some fun papers from Doodlebug Designs.

Here’s a close up of my image.

Leave us a comment on any of the DT’s blogs and/or the Challenge blog for a chance to win a weekly prize. The winner is announced every week during the “W”ednesday post.

Come and join us for the challenge and you may have a chance to win a Surprise from the Magnolia-licious store.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week.

Midweek Magnolias Flourishes

Happy Hump Day, Friends!  We have a new challenge at Midweek Magnolias. This fortnight our theme is…

Flourishes!

Any project or card using a Magnolia stamp and following our theme will give you a chance to win a Mystery Prize from Magnolia Sweden.

My card features “Swirly Tilda” from the Waiting for Christmas collection which seems perfect for the flourishes theme. I used some pretty Christmas papers from Maja Designs and colored Tilda with Copics to coordinate with my papers and embellies.

I created some adorable Christmas stockings for my card with the new die cuts from the Doohickey Club Kit and cut some pretty flourishes from Die-Namics which are some of my favorite.

Here’s a close up of Tilda.

I hope I've inspired you to join us for the challenge. Have a great week and thanks for stopping to visit.

Magnolia-licious White Card

Hello, Magnolia Friends. Today we have a new challenge for you at Magnolia-licious. Our theme for this challenge is…

*****White-on-White*****

This challenge will run until November 24th. We are looking forward to all those White cards and projects you are going to share with us!

For this challenge I’ve chosen “Little Santa and Snowy Branch” masked together to make a cute image. These are both from the NEW “Waiting for Christmas” collection. I used Bazzill card stock and Sizzix “Merry Christmas” embossing folder for some texture on my card base.

I added lots of lovely die cuts, pearls and distress ink to give my card character.

Here’s a close up of my Magnolias.

Leave us a comment on any of the DT’s blogs and/or the Challenge blog for a chance to win a weekly prize. The winner is announced every week during the “W”ednesday post.

Magnolia-licious "W"ednesday

Happy “W”ednesday, Friends! It’s my turn to share a “W”ednesday post for Magnolia-licious. These cards and projects feature the stamp lines Wee Stamps, Wild Rose Studio, Penny Black, and Candibeans carried in the Magnolia-licious store. The store now carries Saturated Canary stamp line and the DT will be including inspirational cards and projects with these new stamps as well.

My project today features a Wee Stamp called “Let it Snow.” I colored my image with Copics and created a Christmas ornament with some adorable metal charms for my NOEL sentiment.

I used Polar White Flower Soft for my snow and for the cute little girl's coat trim I used White Sparkly Fluff. This ornament has lots of texture.

Here’s a close up of my Wee Stamp. She is so adorable and I enjoyed coloring her.

For a chance to win the weekly “Leave a Comment” Surprise Package all you have to do is:

1. Leave a comment on any of the posts on the Challenge Blog.
2. Leave a comment on any of the DT’s blog post for that week.
3. The more posts you comment on the better your chances to win.

Glitter, Lace and Pearls Midway Reminder

Happy Hump Day, Friends! I’m sharing my DT project for our “Glitter, Lace and Pearls” challenge at Midweek Magnolias.

You have one more week to make a project or card and join in the challenge. Follow our rules and theme and you could have a chance to win a prize from Magnolia Sweden.

My card features “Tilda in Cozy Coat” from the new Waiting forChristmas collection. For my theme elements I used glitter on my fir tree die cut as well as some of the snowflakes of the stamp.

The lace trim along the bottom of my card and Pearls on one of my designer paper panels with a couple in the top left corner.

Here’s a close up of my Tilda which has been colored with Copics.

I hope my project inspires you to join us for the challenge. Have a fabulous week.

Magnolia-licious Holiday Blog Hop

Happy November, Friends! Today Magnolia-licious is celebrating our traditional Holiday Blog Hop with 2 chances to win a $50 gift certificate from Magnolia-licious. Instructions and details are at the end of this post.

If you arrived here from Barbara GR’s blog…then you are on the right track. If you need to start at the beginning all you have to do is go back to the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and the post line up is available there.

By the way, have you seen the Disney movie Frozen that was released last year about this time? I loved it and watched it with our grandson in our home theater when it was published on DVD. I swear, he picks up the lyrics to every song in the movie so quickly…LOL

Honestly, this Holiday Gift Basket was created last spring with Frozen in mind and it was featured in CardMaker Magazine’s 2014 Holiday Special Issue this season…on NEWS stands now. I am so proud…hehehe.

As one of the “Pretty Packaging” section’s projects of the Magazine’s holiday spread I created an original design I call the Pleated Holiday Gift Basket.

I developed my basket with a pleat/mountain valley type fold technique. If you are interested in the instructions please email me and I will send them to you.

I also created a keepsake ornament that goes with the gift basket using the same supplies but adding a few details.

The ornament is a shaker design and so simple to assemble. I used some inspiring ideas from Papertrey Ink for my ornament.

Here’s a shot from the back of the basket. I included Magnolia snowflake die cuts for my Frozen theme.

OK, now for the fun HOP part…you have 2 chances to win a $50 Gift Certificate from the Magnolia-licious store.
  1. Each member from the design team has published a hidden number that you must collect and add the sum from the total DT blogs for a chance to win. Just email me at cathylee.co@gmail.com with the sum total and you will be entered in the random draw of correct responses I receive.
  2. Enter a project (anything but a card) in the Hop challenge and you will have a chance to win if your project is the random winner of all entries. You will have the entire month of November to enter a project.

Also you must do the following to be entered for a chance to win either of the prizes:
  • Like us on our Magnolia-licious Facebook Fan Page
  • Leave a comment on each of the DT’s Blog Hop posts.
  • At the end of the Hop return to the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and leave a comment for a chance to win a prize.

All comments will also be eligible for the Weekly Comment prize drawn on "W"ednesday.

My hidden number is **0**; that is a big goose egg or also known as zero...LOL

Your next stop on the hop is the lovely and talented…

Thanks for following along on our Holiday Hop. Have a great week.
